Skills Training
At Today’s
Family we encourage all clients to acquire the basic skills needed for successful careers.
Clients who do not have their high school diploma are encouraged to enroll in a GED program. When needed, ESOL classes are advised. Computer skills’
training is available through community programs or in one of our specially designed, volunteer-taught classes. For specific job skills we seek out the best programs available in the area. Very often a volunteer work experience in an appropriate setting can give an individual the kind of hands-on
training that gives them that extra edge. The staff at Career Catchers works
with each client, as part of our one-on-one career counseling, to find the best, most appropriate method of preparing for
the workplace.
