At Today’s Family every client meets individually with a career counselor.  Developing a supportive and trusting relationship is crucial, and it all begins in the initial meeting.  During this session clients are encouraged to share past employment experiences, evaluate successes, and recognize barriers.  We discuss goals, both short-term and long-term, and identify the steps needed along the way.  By the end of the initial interview some assessments have been made, and a course of action has been discussed.  But at Career Catchers, the door is never closed – the plans, the discussions, the goals are open to constant review and revision.  The counselor and the client continue to meet as needed or requested to help the client create a full array of job search tools—resume, cover letter, elevator speech,  reference list, etc. Together they decide on the most appropriate package of services that will lead to desired employment.
