Self esteem is enhanced through: one-on-one counseling; involvement with the local business community in workshops, volunteer experiences, mentoring and tutoring; and support groups where participants learn from each others’ experiences, disappointments, and successes.

At Today’s Family all participants are encouraged to seek career opportunities that will lead to the fulfillment of long term goals and potential rather than accepting dead-end and entry-level positions.   We assist clients with gaining access to employment opportunities through effective job search techniques including networking, use of on-and off-line resources, and community partnerships.  In addition, support services are provided to the newly employed to ensure retention and advancement.   The focus of our counselors, facilitators, and workshop leaders is to help our clients learn to develop trust, build self esteem, manage anger, deal with peer pressure, make good choices, and effectively resolve conflicts.  In this way we ensure that the entire family benefits and grows together.
